The conclave focused on strengthening leadership pipelines, improving governance frameworks, and building organisational capacity as institutions scale operations.

Co-founder Anchal Kakkar shared insights from the organisation’s decade-long journey, noting that strengthening internal leadership and organisational systems remains critical for sustaining impact.

The first panel discussion, titled “Decisions That Shaped the Organisation,” examined leadership choices during periods of growth and transition. Speakers discussed how organisations balance participation and efficiency while maintaining alignment with institutional values.

Participants also highlighted the need to invest in internal talent and leadership development rather than relying solely on external hiring.

On governance, speakers stressed that organisational oversight should extend beyond boardrooms and remain connected to field-level realities. They noted that systems designed around trust can improve workplace culture and employee retention.

Another session, “Building Institutions That Can Hold Scale,” focused on structural challenges faced by organisations as they expand. Discussions included aligning organisational goals with employee aspirations and strengthening governance systems to support growth.

Speakers emphasised that inclusive policy design and representation from field teams are important to maintain institutional values during expansion.

During the event, Arthan also shared findings from its Compensation Benchmarking Study, highlighting trends in talent retention, compensation competitiveness, and equity within the social sector.

The conclave included interactive working group sessions, where participants discussed leadership development, organisational readiness for scale, and the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence in HR functions.
