Pune | April 16: A Pune–Delhi flight operated by SpiceJet was delayed on Thursday morning following a major technical snag, causing inconvenience to passengers and disrupting travel plans.
The flight, scheduled to depart at 5:55 am, remained grounded well beyond its scheduled departure time. Passengers said they were seated inside the aircraft for over one and a half hours without clear communication from airline staff regarding the delay.
Following the prolonged wait, passengers were asked to deplane and return to the airport terminal. They were informed that further updates would be provided after assessment of the issue.
“We were inside the aircraft for more than 90 minutes and then asked to get down. There is still no clarity on departure,” a passenger said.
According to passengers, airline representatives cited a technical issue but did not provide a definite timeline for resolution. The absence of timely communication led to frustration among travelers, especially those with connecting flights and urgent commitments in Delhi.
As of now, the flight remains delayed, and no official departure time has been announced by the airline.
