New Delhi: Gender-neutral skincare brand Dipsy has introduced Teja Mandara, a gel-to-milk face cleanser and makeup remover developed using Indian-origin botanical ingredients. The product is designed to remove makeup, sunscreen, excess oil and daily impurities while maintaining the skin’s natural barrier through a two-phase cleansing process.

According to the company, Teja Mandara transforms from a gel cleanser into a milky emulsion when activated with water, allowing impurities to be rinsed away without leaving the skin feeling dry or stripped. The formulation is intended for both morning and evening skincare routines and can be used as a single cleanse for daily use or followed by a second cleanse to remove heavier makeup or long-wear sunscreen.

The product draws inspiration from Indian botanical traditions and modern formulation science. The name Teja Mandara combines Teja, a Tamil word associated with radiance and inner light, with Mandara, the Telugu name for hibiscus, which serves as the primary botanical ingredient in the formulation.

The cleanser contains four Indian-origin botanical ingredients selected for their individual properties. Hibiscus is included to help soften and revitalise the skin, while Moringa is intended to nourish the skin during cleansing. Alkanet root, a traditional Indian botanical, contributes soothing properties, and Ginger Lily adds a subtle aromatic element to the cleansing experience.

Dipsy said the formulation has been developed for Indian weather conditions and is designed to cleanse the skin without disrupting its natural moisture barrier. The gel-based texture emulsifies into a milk-like consistency upon contact with water, helping remove surface impurities, makeup residue and sunscreen while leaving the skin feeling balanced and comfortable.

According to the company, the launch reflects its approach to simplifying skincare through products inspired by Indian botanicals while combining traditional ingredients with contemporary formulation techniques.
