Founded in 2019 by school friends Gaurav, Kanwar and Shivam, Rosha develops portable and rechargeable lighting products designed primarily for hospitality environments. The company focuses on cordless lamps that can operate without permanent wiring, allowing them to be placed across restaurant tables, patios and guest areas.
Addressing Operational Challenges in Hospitality Lighting
The idea behind Rosha emerged from observing the operational issues faced by restaurants and hotels when using candles and wired lighting fixtures.
Candles require frequent replacement and may raise safety concerns in crowded dining environments. Wired lighting systems, meanwhile, often require structural installations that limit flexibility.
Rosha’s approach focuses on USB-powered portable lamps, designed to provide lighting without permanent wiring. These products are intended to serve as alternatives to candles or traditional decorative lighting used in hospitality settings.

A Design-Oriented Manufacturing Approach
The company operates as a design-focused lighting brand under the Make in India initiative, working on product design, material experimentation and customised lighting solutions.
Rosha also collaborates with architects and interior designers to develop lighting installations for hospitality projects. The products are manufactured using materials such as stainless steel, brass, teak wood and marble to match different interior design styles.
This approach allows the lighting solutions to be integrated into restaurant interiors, hotel lounges and other hospitality environments where design aesthetics play an important role.
Adoption by Hospitality Brands
According to the company, Rosha’s lighting products are used across several hospitality venues, including hotels operated by major international chains such as Taj Hotels, The Oberoi Group, Radisson Hotel Group, Marriott International and Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
The brand has also been adopted by restaurants and nightlife establishments across India’s premium dining segment.
Overall, Rosha reports that its lighting products are installed in more than 6,500 restaurants and hotels globally.

According to Rosha, its revenue has increased approximately 25 times over the past six years, while its monthly run rate has grown by about 60 percent compared with the previous year.

Future Plans
The startup plans to expand further in international hospitality markets, particularly across the GCC region and Singapore.
